Driving through East Tennessee...

It was a long - but sightful day driving through parts of North Eastern Tennessee...there sure is some mighty pretty places!!! However, some of the winding roads had me feeling a bit queezy - and being that I sat in the back seat...it made the bends in the road - a little more difficult to manage.
I'm so thankful for the non-drowsy dramamine that I had in my purse for the time when I feel airsick flying around.
After a while - the supposed "Non-Drowsy" wasn't entirely true...because I could barely keep my eyes open....but I did manage to take some pictures between little cat-naps.

Nashville's General Jackson Riverboat luncheon dinner show...

It was a really fun-filled day getting on the river boat General Jackson and having a lunch and show afterward. The Tim Watson Show...wow! He is an awesome fiddle player and funny too! He had GREAT one-liners! He played one of my favorites...The Orange Blossom Special and The Devil went Down to Georgia! WOW! He was awesome!!!

Grand Rivers, Kentucky

It's a quaint little tourist town and vacation paradise tucked away quietly near the Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky Dam. Flying into the area and Kentucky Dam Airfield is breath- takingly beautiful! I never knew there was so much water everywhere!

Besides the Patti's 1880's Settlement named after the founders - there are quaint antique and specialty stores, a Vegas style dinner theatre, boating, camping, and lots of activities to do - and places to see in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. It's a really neat place and those that find themselves living there - say they never want to leave. I can't wait to go back again!

The Pink Tractor

A teenagers girls clothing store coming soon to Grand Rivers, Kentucky. It will be a nice new addition to the town.

More pictures of Patti's Restaurant and 1880's Settlement

It would be safe to say that we have found a new place to take friends to because Patti's is an adventure and a delightful experience that we want to share with others. Flying time from Tennessee to Grand Rivers, Kentucky is only about 45 minutes and usually a nice smooth and scenic flight.
We have yet to see the overflow from Patti's called Bill's Place...but hopefully some day soon we will be able to. Steve would love to see it - due to the fact that the center of the restaurant has an airplane parked in the center with all the tables surrounding it. But there is plenty to see with the outside grounds, beautiful flowers, gazebos, quaint shops, landscaped walking paths, animals, putt-putt golf...to name a few things. It's a wonderful place for the entire family!
