In Memory of my Aunt Betty today...
I have no recent pictures of my Aunt Betty, who is one of my mother's older sisters. She resided in Muskegon, Michigan and died peacefully in her sleep on July 15, 2009. She was 77 years old and had been ill and battling cancer for quite some time. She leaves behind a daughter named Maria Floyd and a son named Enrique Galindo.

Aunt Betty....Passed away today...
Just a notation about my Aunt Betty. The report from her daughter, Maria, reported that her mother had been ill for quite some time and residing in a nursing home in Muskegon, Michigan. She had heart surgery last year - and ridden with cancer throughout her body. It appeared that she passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Aunt Betty was my mother's older sister...
I pray for the family for peace and comfort that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

A Visit with Aunt Norma and settling her into her new place
Recently it was determined that my Aunt Norma would be best suited in a assisted living environment and so began the moving process from her condo - into a wonderful establishment called Village on the Isle situated in Venice, Florida.
It is one of the nicest places I have ever seen and I now she will be in excellent, skilled and caring hands. The dining room as linen table clothes and napkins and food is readily available. She has more freedoms to get around now that she lives there - than when she lived in her condo.
If she needs to get to appointments - or just wants to go shopping - they will transport her where ever she needs to go. She sees her nurse, situated on the first floor, before her meals for her incilin, and then makes her way to the dining room....complete with linen table cloths and napkins. The dining room, along with the entire establishment is one of the most nicest places I have ever seen.
Her room is situated on the 3rd floor and there is a nurse on every floor, along with a very nice lounge. She has a job which allows her to monitor and take care of keeping the library orderly - and gives her a sense of purpose.
Here a a few pictures of her place that show her new place....it was really fun putting it together.
