How do you get to Heaven?

My daughter posted that question as her status on facebook today.  Apparently, her husband, aka Pastor, asked his congregation the exact same question....

How do you sum up the answer in just one simple word....but if I were to choose 1 word - it would be:

JESUS

However, I responded by saying a whole lot more...... BUT...when it's all done and said and studied through...the answer will inevitably still be.....
JESUS

For by grace are we saved through FAITH in Jesus Christ! The ONLY way into Heaven's gate is through Jesus - He is the ONLY door. Without the Son - we will never have the Father! It's NOT enough to know ABOUT Jesus..We must KNOW Him. Confess... we are a sinner, ask for forgiveness for our sins, and invite Christ to live in our heart. Becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus. THEN...we are no longer bound by sin, death and the law...but set free. Who the Son sets free is free indeed! We become oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor - a radiant portrait of God...shining the Light and Love of Christ in all we do - no longer living by the flesh - but by HIS Spirit! His desires become our desires - and our desires become HIS! Producing the fruits of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. Becoming DOERS of God's Word - not hearers only! He replaces our heart of stone and gives us a heart after Him...to desire His ways..not our own! He engraves us on the palm of His hand and calls us His own and says that He will never leave or forsake us - even until the very end! Our names are written in the Lambs Book of Life - and forever we are sealed with His name...and will live with Him for all eternity. Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE - and no man comes to the Father except through HIM. John 14:6, Is 61:1-3, Eph 2:8, 1 John 1:9, Rom 7:1-6, 8:2, 2 Cor 3:7, Gal 5:19-23, Rom 3:23, Is 49:16, John 8:36, Rev 13:8, Rev 21:27, Rom 6:23, John 10:7-9,Is 42:7, Acts 16:31, Ez 36:26-27, 1 Cor 6:8-10, Gal 6:7-8, Eph 5:1-7, John 3:5, James 1:22, 2 Cor 5:17.

Choose this day whom you will serve....But as for me and my house....we will serve the Lord Jesus Christ and forever praise His name! Joshua 24:15, Psalm 150, Psalm 146

Come Lord Jesus!!!
