Yesterday was filled with a multitude of emotions....as so many people came together to celebrate the life of a young woman.....and mourn her homegoing... It amazes me how many people have been affected by this one precious life.
She was a wife, and mother of one child...she was our friend's daughter who was tragically killed in an automobile accident on August 13th on her way to take her daughter to school.....
While driving down a hill - a man who was driving up the hill on a winding road had a heart attack and side-swiped the car in front of hers....which subsequently turned his car - broadsiding her - on the driver's side causing the car to roll.
My tears have been plentiful....with the realization of losing a child...your only daughter?! How could I ever bear up under it? How could they??? Watching helplessly - our friends and family grieving her loss....wanting to lift their burden and heal their aching and broken hearts! Yet - some how God, in His miraculous ways.....still shows himself mighty...causing us to remember that he is still in control.....and knows and cares about every detail of our lives.
Those who attended the graveside service can attest that when our friend - in weeping prayer - uttered up to the Lord.....a rainbow appeared in the sky just above them all. They stood in awe of our mighty God....remembering His promises...and lending the realization that He is still in control...He was there - with them...ALWAYS.....He knows our frame - and cares for every detail.
"If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." Romans 14:8
