Steve's plane is fixed - and that allows us to get to Indiana in 2 hours instead of the normal 6. BIG difference. We wanted to see his dad and bring him his birthday gift that we missed last month. We arrived around dinner time and we brought him a slice of pumpkin pie, (his favorite). He enjoyed it a LOT!
We also went to see my sister-in-law Caroline who is losing the battle with terminal cancer. She is in enormous pain - especially in her right arm and unable to use it at all. It's a difficult time for her and for everyone! Please continue to keep them all in your prayers! Caroline has hope and comfort though - because she knows Jesus Christ and has accepted Him as her Lord and Savior - guaranteeing her eternal home in Heaven. Still - it doesn't help the ache of losing her go away - or make the helplessness lessen! My heart is heavy - but we need to keep on praying, hoping and believing that God has her in His hands of tender and loving care. He said He would never leave or forsake us - and would be with us - even to the end. God can still heal her - but may choose to heal her through bringing her home with Him instead.
We were surprised to learn that also visiting that day was Juliette - who flew in from Littleton, Colorado and Violette and her husband Eric, who live in Cincinatti, OH who came by after seeing the Purdue University game. Unfortunately, my sister-in-law Vangie and her son Paul from Evansville, Indiana had to leave early and we weren't able to see them.
For more and better pictures- check out Juliette's blog. Her camera does a better job than my phone camera!
